Is it hard to install a muzzle brake?

You generally don’t need specific tools to change a muzzle brake. You can use a barrel vise or just the barrel nut if the muzzle brake is secured with one. However, it’s always a good idea to use a torque wrench to ensure that the muzzle brake is properly installed and fastened.

In the process, you may need a vise, some basic wrenches, a jam nut, masking tape, and an adjustable 2″ or 3″ crescent wrench.

Some people like to use Loctite or other thread lockers when securing the muzzle brake, as this will help keep it in place even if there is some vibration or movement. But again, it’s not absolutely necessary as long as you torque it down properly.
