Great info, I own Barnes 100gr TTX bullets, similar to the 7-08 that went through a deer from front to back 3 years ago and was located just under its skin on the rump.

I am incredibly impressed with Grendel’s performance in testing – it appears to have an actual increase in performance over 5.56, unlike 300 blk. This could make for an excellent hunting round!
After the bullet was extracted from the test medium, its shape looked peculiar; thus, I’m curious about how different the results would be if a secondary evaluation took place. (I’ll share it with you later)

After using this ammo with an 18″ barrel in the game, I can wholeheartedly assure you that it is accurate up to 200 yards as long as I do my part. Furthermore, I took down coyotes at 400 yards! 6.5 Grendel ammo has become my trusted companion and greatest ally.

My Grendel Hunter 16″ functions most optimally with the Hornady 123 SST, but right behind it in accuracy is Federal Fusion. If you’re looking to make a humane kill and preserve as much of the meat as possible while taking shots from behind the shoulder, then I recommend using the Fusion instead of the SST!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with you. twice I struggled to get consistent groupings in target shooting and eventually realized that the problem was a dirty barrel. after cleaning it thoroughly, my results were predictably accurate. don’t say thanx

From my experience, Berger bullets with thicker jackets typically need to hit bone for better terminal performance – even more so when muzzle velocities are low. In my 16” barreled upper, I managed to get around 2,300 FPS. To measure how effective it was at 25 yards away, we set up a wild hog shoulder in a fleece blanket (as if skin/hide) and four water jugs behind the target. The explosion generated from the round left a 6.5” diameter hole on one side of the shoulder, with another 1″ hole visible on the other side; it also totally destroyed two of our water jugs while leaving a clear 1.5″ through-and-through mark in number three and two separate exit holes in jug four. Only fragments of the bullet’s core were found afterward – although this wasn’t as informative as ballistics gel tests can be, we still thought it was interesting enough to share with anyone who might find it helpful! Thanks for a good post!

I fired off 10 Nosler 120gr rounds from my 20″ Grendel at wild hogs and the results were amazing. It was especially effective for smaller boars under 150 lbs, but more than one shot may be needed to take down larger ones. For deer hunting with a Grendel, this is an ideal bullet choice; however, it’s best to stick to classic shooting techniques when aiming! Great review indeed!
