What is a double action trigger?

A double action trigger is a type of trigger that can be pulled both single-action and double-action.

A double action trigger requires more force to pull than a single action trigger, but it also results in a shorter distance between the firing pin and the primer.

As a result, it’s less likely for the firing pin to bounce off the primer and miss its mark.
