In my opinion, Kydex is a superior choice compared to leather for holsters. Unlike leather, Kydex does not develop unpleasant odors, deteriorate or deform over time, and is thinner. I once had a poorly made leather holster that resulted in a near-negligent discharge with my G26 as the trigger guard part folded into the trigger.
