- 1️⃣ Unload the shotgun: Before beginning the installation process, make sure your shotgun is unloaded and the chamber is empty. Follow all necessary safety precautions when handling firearms.

I have a Hogue Overmolded stock that offers two options for length of pull adjustment: 14 inches and 12 inches. While this may not provide as many adjustment increments as the Magpul stock, it does allow for a faster and more natural shouldering position. However, it’s worth noting that the encircled thumb may be positioned closer to your nose, particularly with a 3-inch difference in the length of pull. That said, the Hogue stock offers superior tactile feedback under all conditions.
The Adaptive adjustable stock on my .450 Bushmaster performs exceptionally well. Its sturdy construction and appealing aesthetics make it an excellent choice. I highly recommend this product.
Do I need to modify it in order to use it with a buffer tube that is not mil-spec?
The only modification it needs is a Mil-Spec Buffer Tube
I own a Remington 870 shotgun that has a Knoxx recoil-reducing stock installed, and I can confirm that it functions as advertised.
Hey, does the stock prevent the trigger housing from being removed without first taking off the stock? Essentially, is it necessary to remove the entire stock to access and remove the trigger assembly?
📢 In some firearms, the stock may be attached in such a way that it blocks access to the trigger assembly, and it may need to be removed before the trigger assembly can be accessed. 📢 In other firearms, the stock may be designed to allow easy access to the trigger assembly without needing to remove the stock.
⚠️ It’s best to consult the specific firearm’s owner’s manual or a qualified gunsmith to determine the correct procedure for accessing and removing the trigger assembly.
I recently assembled a home defense shotgun using an older WesternField 550ABD (which is a rebadged Mossberg 500 sold by Montgomery Wards). For the stock and forend, I opted for the Magpul SGA model. In my opinion, a shorter stock is ideal for a home defense shotgun, as it allows for a more squared stance towards the target, as opposed to the more angled stance used for wing shooting. While the Hogue and Mossberg Bantam stocks are also viable options, I found the Magpul stock to be particularly appealing because it allows for length adjustments in 1/2″ increments.
I recently installed a Blackhawk shotgun stock on my new 870 Tactical and I’m thoroughly impressed with it. Not only is it practical, but it also adds a badass look to my shotgun.
I’m curious, is the buffer tube made of metal or plastic?
It’s a metal tube
Installed a Kicklite on my Maverick 88. Couldn’t be happier!
How do I choose the right tactical shotgun stock for my shotgun?
☑️ The right tactical shotgun stock will depend on the specific make and model of your shotgun, as well as your own personal preferences and shooting style.
👀 Look for stocks that are compatible with your shotgun and offer the adjustability and features that are important to you.
