I have been using my 2.0 full-size firearm for approximately five years, and I must say that the Apex trigger has been functioning well for me. Personally, I have not encountered any issues with it. The wall has a satisfactory level of resistance, and the break is exceptionally crisp. While I have not measured it with a gauge, I would estimate that the trigger pull’s weight is around 4.5 pounds.

I am looking for some recommendations on good triggers as I am not satisfied with the stock trigger’s spongy feel. Can you suggest any alternatives?

I have decided to opt for the MCarbo parts kit, which only costs $25, to address the issue with my trigger mechanism. The MCarbo kit involves the disassembly of the trigger mechanism, followed by the polishing of the striker block, and the replacement of several trigger springs. This helps to improve the performance of my trigger.

I am quite impressed with MCarbo’s products. I have already used their parts kit for my trigger mechanism, and now I have installed their drop-in trigger on my EDC M&P 9. I must say that the performance of the trigger is quite nice, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I highly recommend the Apex polymer trigger for those looking to upgrade from the stock trigger. Priced at $110, it provided a significant improvement to my trigger, making it feel much more like the Shield Plus. I am very pleased with the upgrade and would definitely suggest giving it a try.

As an owner of a 2.0, I must say that I appreciate the stippling on the grip (although this may vary depending on personal preference). I have found that after firing approximately 800-1000 rounds, my trigger has significantly improved, and I am now quite fond of it.

Do triggers for polymer guns work in the metal models?

Waystrofita

From my experience, the internal parts designed for polymer guns are also compatible with their metal counterparts. In fact, it even works the other way around. For example, I have successfully installed the complete trigger/fire group from my metal pistol into my polymer 2.0 compact, and it runs flawlessly without any issues.

📢 It depends on the specific trigger and the firearm models in question.

🔵 In some cases, triggers designed for polymer guns may work in metal models, but this is not always the case. 🔔 It is important to check the compatibility of the trigger with the specific make and model of a firearm before attempting to install it.

Highly recommend upgrading to the Apex trigger kit. I installed it on my 1.0 a few years back, and it made a significant difference in performance. I am confident that you will be pleasantly surprised by how much better it shoots with the Apex trigger kit installed. Good luck with the upgrade!

I made the decision to replace the triggers on both my Shield and Compact 2.0 with Apex triggers, and it was a fantastic move. While the 2.0 is certainly an improvement, the Apex trigger is undoubtedly the best. If you are satisfied with the gun’s other features, recommend upgrading to an Apex trigger. It’s definitely worth it!

I currently own a M1.0 PC, M2.0, Plus OR, and a PC Plus.
Out of the four, I find that the Performance Center Shield Plus is the best trigger.
However, I believe that the M2.0 with the Shield Plus trigger installed is equally impressive.
As it happens, today is my 57th birthday, and I am thrilled to have found a new Shield M2.0 without a manual safety still in the box for just $300.
