FAQ 🤔

Are overwatch precision triggers safe?
☑️ Overwatch Precision triggers are generally considered safe when installed and used properly. ⚠️However, like any aftermarket modification, they may have an impact on the safety of the firearm if not installed correctly or if used improperly.
Does overwatch precision have a warranty?
✅ Yes, Overwatch Precision offers a limited lifetime warranty on its products. According to their website, their warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product.

⚠️ However, the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by improper installation or use of the product. Additionally, any modifications made to the product by someone other than Overwatch Precision will void the warranty.

What is the difference between DAT and TAC overwatch precision?
📣 The Overwatch Precision DAT (Damn Accurate Trigger) and TAC (Trigger Action Components) triggers are both aftermarket trigger upgrades for various firearms, but they differ in their design and intended use.

🔸 The DAT trigger is a flat-faced trigger with a pre-travel reduction design, which means that it reduces the distance the trigger must travel before the sear disengages, resulting in a shorter and smoother trigger pull. It also has an overtravel stop to prevent overtravel, which is the movement of the trigger beyond the point of sear release.

✔️ The DAT trigger is designed for precision shooting and is often used in competitive shooting.

🔹 The TAC trigger, on the other hand, is a curved trigger with integrated safety, which is designed to provide a safe and reliable trigger upgrade for duty, carry, and defensive firearms.

✔️ The TAC trigger is designed to reduce pre-travel, which is the distance the trigger must travel before it engages the sear, and to provide a clean and crisp trigger break.

  • 🔔 In summary, the DAT trigger is designed for precision shooting and competition, while the TAC trigger is designed for duty, carry, and defensive firearms. Both triggers offer a reduction in pre-travel and a clean trigger break, but their different designs and intended uses set them apart from each other.
What is the difference between an Overwatch Precision Trigger and a standard trigger?
👀 The primary difference is the design and manufacturing process.

  • ⚙️ Overwatch Precision Triggers are aftermarket upgrades designed to improve the trigger pull and overall shooting experience of firearms.

🔨 They are typically made using high-quality materials and are precisely machined to tight tolerances for a consistent and smooth trigger pull. The design of Overwatch Precision Triggers also often includes features such as pre-travel reduction, overtravel adjustment, and a crisp break.

  • ⚙️ Standard triggers, on the other hand, are typically the factory-installed triggers that come with the firearm.

🔨 While they may also be made of high-quality materials, their design and manufacturing process is often geared towards cost-effectiveness and mass production. Standard triggers may not have the same level of precision machining and attention to detail as aftermarket triggers like Overwatch Precision.

🔔 In general, Overwatch Precision Triggers are designed to provide a better shooting experience than standard triggers by improving the trigger pull and providing more customization options.

What is the best TAC trigger for Glocks?
✅ The best TAC trigger for Glocks depends on your personal preferences and needs.

💎 There are several reputable manufacturers that make high-quality triggers for Glocks, such as Apex Tactical Specialties, Overwatch Precision, and ZEV Technologies.

Conclusion 🔔

An Overwatch Precision Trigger can be a great way to improve your accuracy and shooting experience. It is important to choose the right trigger for your needs, and the buyer’s guide will help you do just that. We have also included reviews of some of the best options on the market so that you can make an informed decision before making a purchase. Thanks for reading! 😉

I own three Overwatch Precision TAC triggers which have significantly enhanced the performance of my G26, G23, and G43 firearms. Additionally, I have installed the Kineti Tech Angled Flat faced trigger in my G19, which is relatively inexpensive compared to other brands and performs decently well.

I recently installed the Johnny Glock trigger in my pistol and I am highly impressed with its performance. The trigger has no pre-travel or over-travel, and the reset is instant, making it feel almost like a 1911-style trigger in a striker-fired firearm. Moreover, all the safety features of the trigger work seamlessly. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend trying out the Johnny Glock trigger – you’ll be amazed!

I’m curious about the coating on the trigger bar. Does its coating make a difference?

Shannon Smith

✔️ The coating on a trigger bar can make a difference in terms of its performance and durability. A trigger bar is a critical component in a firearm that connects the trigger to the firing pin or striker, and the coating on the trigger bar can affect its ability to function smoothly and consistently.⚠️

🔲 A coating can help to reduce friction between the trigger bar and other parts of the firearm, which can improve the trigger pull and reduce wear on the parts. Coatings such as electroless nickel, titanium nitride, and DLC (diamond-like carbon) are often used on trigger bars to provide corrosion resistance, hardness, and lubricity.

I recently installed the Apex trigger on my G45 and have been pleased with its performance. I opted for the version with the connector, which reduces the trigger pull weight by around one pound. Although the Overwatch trigger costs $30 more at $160, I’m curious to know what additional benefits it provides over the Apex trigger at $130. Thanks for the review.

while a flat trigger can offer faster performance for competitive shooting, for a general-purpose pistol that’s not solely used for matches or range use, I would recommend the Overwatch Precision Falx curve trigger.

In my opinion, the most significant upgrade I’ve made to all my Glocks has been installing the Overwatch Precision TAC triggers. Although I had previously tried the Pyramid 1 and 2 triggers, I found the OP triggers to be far superior. Recently, I completed my latest build – a G48 MOS – and added several upgrades including the Holosun 507K optic, Trijicon night sights, TLR-7 light, Taran Tactical Grandmaster spring upgrade, OP TAC trigger, S15 magazines, SA mag well, SA mag release, extended slide release, and Talon grip. This build is currently my everyday carry, and I am thoroughly enjoying it so far.
