What is Long Range Scope? 😏
It is a specialized type of rifle scope designed for long-distance shooting, usually over ranges of 500 yards or more. They offer superior accuracy for precision shooting, allowing shooters to accurately target and hit their desired target from great distances.
Special Features 💡
🎯 Field of View – This is an important factor when selecting a scope; wider fields of view allow you to scan more area quickly and easily find your target without having to adjust your eye position too much. Generally speaking, scopes with larger objectives have wider fields of view.
🎯 Reticle – Long-range scopes typically come equipped with either a mil-dot reticle or an adjustable illuminated reticle. Mil-dot reticles are great for quickly estimating ranges, while illuminated reticles allow you to shoot in low-light conditions without worrying about aiming inaccuracies due to poor visibility. Of course, both types offer advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation.
🎯 Parallax Adjustment – Parallax error is caused by a misalignment between the objective lens and eyepiece lens which can lead to inaccuracy when aiming at long distances. Most long-range scopes come with parallax adjustment so that you can achieve maximum accuracy regardless of distance or shooting position.
🎯 Magnification – The magnification offered by different scopes varies widely; some models go up to 50x while others cap out at 25x or less. When choosing your magnification level, consider what type of shooting you plan on doing and select accordingly as higher magnifications tend to offer better clarity but can also increase parallax error if not properly adjusted.
🎯 Eye Relief – The eye relief is how far away from the eyepiece lens your eye needs to be in order for it to line up properly with the objective lens; longer eye reliefs allow you to shoot comfortably even in awkward positions like from behind cover or from prone positions. Look for a model specifically designed for extended eye relief if you want maximum comfort when shooting from different positions.
🎯 Turret Adjustments – Another important feature offered in most modern scopes is turret adjustments which allow you to make quick on-the-fly adjustments such as windage and elevation as well as zoom level without having to remove the scope from its mountings. This makes it easier than ever before to stay accurate even when faced with changing conditions during live-action scenarios like hunting or tactical competitions.
🎯 Overall Quality – While there’s no substitute for firsthand experience when it comes to evaluating product quality, there are several elements that experienced shooters look for such as quality coatings on all optical components (including lenses), extra seals around ocular lenses (to prevent water/fog damage), robust construction materials (like aluminium) that can withstand recoil forces, etc.
Here is the video about these features of the scopes💻
Types 🔰
⚡Fixed power scopes⚡ offer the same level of magnification across the entire viewing field and do not allow for any adjustments. They tend to be simpler and more lightweight than variable ones but may be limiting when it comes to longer shots.
⚡Variable power scopes⚡ offer a selection of different magnifications, allowing users to adjust their view depending on the situation or target they require.

Guide for Mounting a Rifle Scope 📡
- 📌 The first step in mounting is choosing the right mount. This should match the make and model of your gun and the diameter of your scope. Additionally, you will need to make sure that there are four (or more) screws affixed to the mount. Each of these screws should have locking nuts in order to secure them firmly in place once they are tightened down.
- 📌 Once you have chosen a compatible mount and secured all of its screws, you will need to attach it to your gun’s receiver rail. To do this, simply fit it overtop of the rail and tighten down all four (or more) screws with a wrench or screwdriver. Be sure to not over-tighten them as this could cause damage or impair accuracy in some cases.
- 📌 Next up is placing your scope onto the mount itself. While many scopes come with pre-drilled holes for this purpose, others may require additional drilling before mounting them safely in place. You will want to make sure that whichever method you use, there are at least three points of contact between the scope and mount so that they remain securely connected at all times during use.
- 📌Finally, you can begin adjusting your rifle’s zero by using turrets on either side of the scope tube. Your left turret should be adjusted until you have achieved “windage” (the horizontal adjustment) while the right turret adjusts elevation (the vertical adjustment). Once both turrets have been set properly, you should test fire your gun at various distances in order to confirm its accuracy y and zero points before committing any further adjustments permanently into place via locking nuts if necessary.
By following these simple steps, anyone can easily mount their own scope with relative ease and achieve improved accuracy thanks to proper setup and installation.

I am thrilled to be constructing a 308 rifle for long-range shooting. Assembling everything is now complete apart from selecting the ideal scope; I have reviewed many options, but can’t decide what would best serve me. My goal is to target 1500 yards with this weapon and while it may seem ambitious, I am eager to attempt reaching one mile just out of curiosity! Any advice offered on the matter will truly be appreciated.
It’s important to recognize that while it is possible, a 308 rifle will have difficulty attaining 1500 yards – let alone a mile. If you want to reach any more success than simply accuracy at volume, be ready for plenty of practice time in order to master wind reading and recoil management. Wish you good luck

Hello! Thank you for the article!
What Does A 6 24×50 Scope Mean?
A 6-24×50 scope means that the magnification can be adjusted from 6x to 24x, and the diameter of the objective lens is 50mm. This scope is versatile and can be used for a variety of applications, such as target shooting, hunting, or tactical situations.
Great! Thanks
Good day! I am a newcomer in scopes and things like that. So I read a lot of useful information here. Nevertheless, there is some moment I need to clarify
How far can I see with a 4 12×50?
A 4 12×50 scope can see up to 500 yards.
My hunting rifles have different scopes. Because of the weight factor—regretfully so, I had to test many scopes. If only age had not been a hindrance and I had not considered the additional weight from optics, I would recommend vortex. The Burris is also good
Ade Advanced is a fine one for the price. If you have a good budget, then have a look at trinity or Sightron. I prefer classic – Vortex lol)
Sightron is not bad, but 1000 dollars is…..((((
My friend bought even more expensive. But I have the low cost one. And it is okay. It totally depends on your aims.
I read the post and had some idea of what I needed.
Then I read the comments and wanted to ask
How Much Should I Spend on a Rifle Scope?
The amount of money you should spend on a rifle scope depends on a few different factors.
First, consider your budget and the type of scope you need.
Another factor to consider is how often you plan to use the rifle scope.
The cost associated with these types of optics will vary depending on brand name recognition and popularity but generally run anywhere from $300-$5000+. Investing more in your rifle scope can mean better performance over time due to superior construction materials and advanced features that let you hit targets further away with ease.
