Glock 43 Extended Mag

What is Glock 43 Extended Mag? ⌛

It is a popular accessory for Glock 43 owners, providing increased capacity over the standard 6-round magazine. The extended magazine provides a total of 10 rounds, allowing you to take advantage of the full potential of your Glock 43.

Best Glock 43 Extended Mag

Features 💡

🧷They offer greater capacity than the standard 6-round magazine that comes with the Glock 43. Depending on the model, some extended mags can hold up to 17 rounds. This makes them great for home defence or shooting competitions where having extra rounds is essential.

🧷 Besides they offer enhanced grip stability when compared to the factory mags due to their increased length and width. They provide a more comfortable feel in the hand, which can help reduce shooter fatigue over time.

🧷 The added length and width also help improve tactility when doing tactical reloads or speed reloading drills, as you don’t have as much of a challenge getting them out of your gear or off your belt.

🧷 For those who are concerned about reliability and durability, rest assured that Glock 43 Extended Mags feature reinforced steel lips to ensure a consistent feed rate from round to round—greatly reducing stoppages due to ammo malfunctions or jams that often occur with plastic magazines. A strong chrome silicon spring also provides greater longevity than regular springs found in most plastic magazines.

🧷 Lastly, extended mags typically include additional features such as a rubberized base plate cover for improved grip when ejecting magazines, along with removable floor plates for easier cleaning and maintenance—which can be especially useful if you plan on using them in harsh environments like waterfowling or desert shooting competitions.

Types 🔥

⚡ The first type of extended magazine is known as a standard plus-two extension. This type of magazine adds two rounds over the normal, factory five-round capacity for a total of seven rounds. The plus-two extensions are usually made from a high-quality polymer material and come in both translucent or solid colour options depending on your preference.

⚡ Another popular option is the plus-four extension which provides four additional rounds over the factory’s five-round capacity for a total of nine rounds in total. These larger versions are available in either translucent or solid colour options and often feature textured surfaces or other gripping aids such as finger grooves and dimples for better handling in wet conditions or while wearing gloves.

⚡ Finally, some manufacturers offer combination kits which include both standard plus-two extensions and plus-four extensions in one package depending on your preferences and budget constraints. These kits can be ideal for those who want more flexibility out of their magazines without having to buy multiple magazines at once or swap them out between shooting sessions.

How to Disassemble & Clean a Glock Magazine 💥

🟥 First off, make sure that the magazine is unloaded and safe before beginning the cleaning process.

🟥 Start by removing the baseplate from the Glock magazine body.

  • 📌 Depending on the design, some models may require a tool such as a flat-head screwdriver to remove the baseplate while other models may simply slide off once released with your fingers.
  • 📌 If necessary, use a screwdriver to gently pry the baseplate off of the magazine body by pushing against small ridges located around its circumference until it pops loose.
  • 📌 Once removed, set aside the baseplate so that you don’t lose it during cleaning or reassembly of your Glock 43 Extended Mag later on down the road.

🟥Start separating all parts of your magazine inside and out for thorough cleaning.

  • 📌 Separate everything from springs, followers and inserts into different containers so nothing gets lost in between steps or accidentally put back together incorrectly during reassembly later on down the road.

🟥 Make sure that all internal pieces are completely free from dirt, debris or rust before putting them back together again using either electric parts cleaners or gun solvent with a cotton swab for more stubborn grime build-up in tight spaces like inside a mag tube or between spring coils etc.

🟥 Inspect each piece closely for any signs of wear or damage before attempting to reassemble it back into its intended form as well as test each part individually to ensure proper functionality.

🟥 When finished cleaning all parts thoroughly including the outside of the magazine body itself with appropriate gun solvent/cleaners, slowly begin reassembling back into its original form starting with parts first then finally the main mag body itself last creating something akin to “a puzzle within a puzzle” when done correctly!

🟥 Test slide repositioned pieces several times after completion just to make sure everything works properly before loading up rounds into the extended mag tube portion thereby completing the entire process end-to-end!

How much does a Glock 43 extended mag hold?
The Glock 43 Extended Mag is an upgraded magazine created to fit the Glock 43 series pistols.🎯 It provides increased capacity over the standard mag, holding six rounds of 9mm ammunition instead of just five. This makes it an ideal choice for users who need more capacity when using their Glock 43 pistol in a defensive or competitive setting.
What is the difference between Glock 43 with extended mag and 43X?

Glock 43 and Glock 43X are both semi-automatic pistols designed by Austrian firearms manufacturer Glock. The main difference between the two models is the size and capacity of their magazines.

🎯 The Glock 43 is a single-stack pistol that holds 6 rounds in its magazine while the Glock 43X is a double-stack pistol that holds 10 rounds in its magazine.

🎯 Consequently, the Glock 43X offers superior firepower compared to its smaller sibling, the Glock 43.

🟥 In addition to having a larger magazine capacity, the larger frame of the Glock 43X offers better ergonomics for shooters with larger hands as it has an increased grip size which helps with recoil control.

🟥 On the other hand, due to its slim frame and lighter weight, many shooters find that the Glock 43 is easier to conceal than its larger cousin. Furthermore, some shooters prefer the single-stack mag design of the G43 as it provides them with a slimmer grip profile that fits more comfortably in their hands.

What is the difference between an additional extended mag and the factory Glock 43 “packaged” magazine?

The primary difference between an additional extended mag and the factory Glock 43 “packaged” magazine is that the former will provide extended capacity.

  • 📢 An additional extended mag typically increases the magazine capacity of a Glock 43 pistol from 6 rounds to either 8 or 9 rounds, depending on the exact make and model of the magazine.
  • 📢 Typically, these magazines are larger in size than their factory counterparts, as they must hold more ammunition. They may also come with additional features like a finger extension for increased control or an ergonomic design to reduce fatigue in extended shooting sessions.
  • 🪂 The factory Glock 43 “packaged” magazine typically ships with 6 rounds already loaded, meaning that this magazine is limited to just 6 rounds of ammunition. While most shooters have no problem fitting all 6 rounds into the standard-sized magazine without any issue, those looking for more ammunition capacity may find themselves limited by the size of the factory-provided mag.
  • 🪂 Additionally, those wanting improved control over their shot placement may find that this particular magazine does not give them enough room to properly grip their firearm for every shot.
Are mag extensions worth it?

When it comes to improving the capacity and performance of your Glock 43, mag extensions are definitely worth considering. These devices, when carefully selected and attached properly, can make a huge difference in the way you use your firearm.

🍀 Mag extensions, also known as magazine extensions or magazine sleeves, are designed to add additional rounds of ammunition to your magazine.

🍀 They usually come in either metal or polymer materials and attach to the base plate of a magazine.

🍀 Mag extension kits typically include additional springs and followers that allow for more rounds to fit inside the magazine tube.

🔥 The benefits of having an extended mag extension include increased ammunition capacity (up to +2 or +3), improved grip and control over recoil, a more secure fit in most holsters, and better ergonomics for manipulation and reloading. With higher-capacity magazines, you’ll also have less frequent magazine changes during shooting sessions and competitions.

How to load a Glock 43 extended magazine?

📌 The first step is to ensure the magazine is unloaded.

📌 Once this is confirmed, one should then insert the rounds into the magazine.

  • 🧷 To do this, hold the magazine firmly in one hand and with the other, using your index finger, press down on each round as you insert it into the back of the magazine until it clicks into place. It’s also important to note that when inserting rounds into an extended magazine, they should be loaded from back to front for proper positioning of each round.

📌 After all desired rounds have been inserted, one can then check if they are properly seated by gently tapping on the base of the magazine with their palm or knuckles.

  • 🧷 If all rounds slide down and there is no resistance seen when pressing down on them, then they are properly seated inside and ready for use.
  • 🧷The next step is then to take the loaded magazine and insert it into your Glock 43 pistol by pressing down on its bottom baseplate and sliding it up into its grip until an audible click is heard.
  • 🧷To remove a loaded magazine from your Glock 43 pistol, simply depress its bottom baseplate and slide out downwards in one single motion while keeping control at all times until completely removed from its grip.

📌 It’s important to remember that magazines should always be handled with care as mishandling them can cause issues such as jamming which could lead to unanticipated accidents or dangerous situations if not taken seriously.

  • 🧷 Also keep in mind that after loading a Glock 43 extended magazine for use in firearms training or competitions, always double-check and make sure that all rounds are properly seated before attempting to fire any shots off target. This will ensure all rounds are correctly positioned so there will be no potential malfunctions resulting from improper loading of ammunition inside your Glock 43 firearm’s chamber.

Are Glock 43 mag extensions easy to dissemble?

For those of us with bigger hands, using the Glock 43 and its factory flush magazine can be a bit uncomfortable. There are several brands on the market (Hyve, Taran Tactical, Vickers) that offer extended magazines for this gun – but when it comes to price point, dependability, performance factors and ergonomic feel – which one is your top pick? Do you carry it around regularly for everyday use?

I’ve been relying on the Hyve +2 for over a year now and haven’t encountered any issues. It adds just enough length so my pinky isn’t dangling off of my gun, which is why it’s become part of my everyday carry essentials. Highly suggest considering this product!

In my opinion, Hyve Technologies +2 are unparalleled. Not only do they look great, but mine have been dependable and highly ergonomic. You can even pick between purchasing just the base plates or an already assembled magazine

I’m in awe of the stunning aesthetic and practicality of my Taran Tactical +2! It’s a must-have for all serious shooters looking to improve their accuracy, comfortability, and efficiency.

I carry my TT+2’s with one round in the chamber for virtually the same purpose. The eighth round generally jams up when it is chambered, so to avoid that problem I just run 7 rounds plus 1 and have a seventh ready in case of emergencies.

If you’re looking for a reliable firearm magazine, I’d recommend the Taran +2, Pearce or Fab Defense +4. All of them are effective and have never caused me any problems in terms of feeding issues.

I’m more than pleased with my Taran Tactical +1 and +3! They’ve served me so well that people can take full advantage of the functionality of my 43 without any worry. This duo is incredibly cost-effective, as it only set me back roughly $60. I keep the +1 on hand for everyday use, while stashing away the second in case a backup ever needs to be had!

I’m giving the Strike Industries +2 a giant thumbs up! The fact that these look like they could have came with my pistol is amazing. Plus, since I’m not a fan of multi colored parts – this was exactly what I needed.
